What Happened?
The S&P 500 climbed higher on Wednesday as Q2 came to a close.
Stocks closed out the first half of the year with double-digit percentage gains. Year-to-date gains:

U.S. stocks have gained for five straight quarters, their longest streak since 2017.
Q2 saw soaring prices across markets from used cars to housing to gasoline. Investors are now trying to figure out whether the recent inflation is transitory or the start of a longer-term trend.
