What Happened?
The U.S. equities markets were closed today for Good Friday.
The Labor Department said on Friday that U.S. employers added 916,000 jobs last month, twice as many as in February and the most since August.
The unemployment rate fell to 6 percent, its lowest level since the covid pandemic began.
Vaccinations in the U.S. are accelerating and economic activity is starting to pick up, giving investors hope that stocks have more room to run this year.
